“You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.”
John 14:28
It is fascinating that we can read something for years, and not even notice that we don’t understand.
Dead and alive, in the Bible pertains to our own sensitivity.
In the system of old “Going to the Father” was associated with physically dying.
Jesus’ statement “I am going to the Father” is an instruction to you!
Why, how?
Because of Philippians 2:5
“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus”!
You might encounter lots of resistance and disbelief in yourself when you explore and follow this pointing. Take it to heart!
Once you see this most simple but profound guidance you become alive “in Christ”, here and now; you raise from the dead.
Please, read all of this very slowly; your own mind escaped this most profound discovery for uncounted years.
We know that we are of God, and that the whole world is under the power of the evil one. 20And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true— in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the TRUE God and eternal life. 21Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
1 John 5:20
In “this world” it is too easy to pay lip-service, to feel hurt or misunderstood; to go for anything that promises a little relief for the person we believe to be.
To “follow Jesus” is a labor of Love, most intimately within Self.
The “Truth” is not a cluster of concepts.
The Truth is that which never changes in you!
Your own Awareness, before any thought arises, is always with you.
The Father is not “another” … because of “I and my Father are one”… “not robbery to be equal with God”…
It is impossible to understand this in our surface mind; but in prayer it reveals itself.
Every explanation of God is an idol, a picture, a word, a thought in the mind.
Go to the Father, empty-handed, in your prayer and meditation…
“Speak Lord, thy servant heareth”.
Allow yourself to drop “this world” in your own mind.
Your mind is a tool, it is your servant who renders “this world”.
Leave Mr. or Mrs. Mind outside at the temple gate, when you enter your inner Being, when you go to the Father.
The wicked one in you says “ya but…”
The righteous one embraces the guidance of the Bible, beyond hope and belief.
