But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”

You are already at your destination, in the land you are living, you just have to allow to see it, by removing/seeing the veil of your former attention, interest, belief and identity.
Just to know, to see, is more than enough. If you become busy “working” on yourself, you just strengthen the old ignorance: Ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free. Surrender the itch to jump off your own cross too early.
Experience must be the ultimate test!
Experience, unadulterated by the commentary of the brain.
You have the choice to read the Bible slowly and take it to heart; not just rattle it, out of fear you might lose what you believed you understood yesterday!
Relax your brain, be like a little child, don’t be childish; neither be stiff and stubborn like old and bitter adults.
Have a little manah for your stomach’s sake, but come back, here and now, to scripture:

Be like little children, don’t entertain and defend that vast body of beliefs and assumptions you accumulated through your adulthood; be fresh, open and vulnerable for the Truth’s sake.
Allow yourself the innocent questions of little children:
- Who or what is the LORD, where is the LORD to be found?
- How far away is “my kingdom” and “this world”?
How do they interface here and now? 2 - What is the vast inner space of happiness and fulfillment when being in Love?
- What is this inner space out of which my thoughts appear and into which they all disappear? 3
Don’t settle for hearsay!
Don’t be impressed by false authority; God is Love.
God is your Father. How cool is that… really?
I AM the Lord your God.
I AM with you always, I will never leave you nor forsake you.
I AM is Spirit, always here and now; closer than breathing, nearer than hands and feet.
If you call yourself a Christian then Jesus’ teachings are your model, your bravery, your path into freedom, here and now, down to Earth, in the Presence of Love and consequential Wisdom and Fulfillment from above.
It is not a negotiating between what your brain makes you believe and what “Jesus” tells you.
Liberation, redemption, entering and embracing “my kingdom” … all you ever know or experience reaches you through your Awareness, always here and now.
As far as you are concerned, without the Presence of Awareness nothing exists!
And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

How and where are you in the Presence of the LORD?
How do you know that you serve the LORD and not your (involuntary) ignorance?
Your brain belongs to “this world”. It is a most marvelous physical organ that evolved through uncounted thousands of years in space and time. The brain is filled with information and experiences of our ancestors, beyond the Euphrates.
But my kingdom is not of “this world”.
If you were stuck, confined and limited to a temporary fleshly brain, then you could never enter “my kingdom”.
“This world” is the realm of space and time; where everything comes and goes.
Earth is God’s eternal creation; “this world” is what we believe to see and to know, identified as man whose breath is in his nostrils.
We cannot deny that in “this world” we constantly miss the mark.
For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more.” 13By speaking of a new covenant, He has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.
Hebrews 8:13
The first one is the person you believed yourself to be in “this world”, born of woman, born from below, born of the flesh.
… put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23to be renewed in the spirit of your minds; 24and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Ephesians 4:23
When do the words click IN you, in your Awareness?
“I AM the Light” is your true nature, and is always experientially available, here and now.
“I am a brain” is a mentation, is a believe in a selfhood apart from God; which the master points out is not true, because “I and my/your Father are one”.
The brain can only process duality, it knows only subject-object divisions; the brain cannot process or sense what IS before “this world” appears to you.
The LORD is not “another”, elsewhere.
The LORD is present in the absence of our former believes; it feels like emptiness, a vastness, like the open sky, like heaven; nothing to hold onto in the old sense of the former brain-person.
When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the sea—and they were terrified. 20But Jesus spoke up: “It is I; do not be afraid.” 21Then they were willing to take Him into the boat, and at once the boat reached the shore where they were heading.
John 6:20
Don’t be afraid! It is “I”!
Giving Jesus a modern voice: And since you are my disciples, since you follow my model, since you are willing to sell all your old beliefs, and be like little children (psychologically speaking), you will gently see and confirm that I AM the LORD your God — I become alive in you, through the medium of Awareness. Whatever you put into words or imagine me to be, is not who I AM; it is rather a mentation, an idol in your brain.
“In quietness and confidence” you will discover your true nature as child of God. No circus, no fantasy, no delusions of the brain; but crystal clear seeing — Christ — beyond your fleshly eyes; through my spirit, through my model, my pattern; my Spirit becomes alive in you, as you and through you.
There is a stronghold of resistance and fear in the brain to let go of all it ever believed to be and to know in its ignorance.
“For we live by faith, not by sight.”

The seeming death of the caterpillar, confined in its cocoon of assumptions, hopes and believes, becomes the free butterfly.
for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14How then can they call on the One in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach? 15And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

Watch your own potential resistance and disbelieve:
“I AM the LORD your God.”
The name of the son, the name of the Lord is I AM.
The words “I AM” are pointers, pointing you to the discovery of your own Awareness. 4
The Bible is not about academic beliefs or childish wishful thinking.
Know the living Truth!
Experience must be the ultimate test.
