Christ IN you

  • by

the mystery that was hidden for ages and generations but is now revealed … the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.… 1
Colossians 1:27

In “this world” Christ is a noun, an object, another.2

In “my Kingdom” Christ is a living Presence, “closer than breathing, nearer than hands and feet”.3

“Glory” is the is the Presence of God, the unhindered generous flow and expression of Life, of Love, of synchronicity and harmony. Not elsewhere, not in an assumed future, but always here and now; even in a breath, a relaxing of the shoulders, a sigh, making eye contact, allowing a smile, doing the dishes or walking the street…

…but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.…
1 Corinthians 1:24

Truth is simple, but the seeker is complex.

Our study and our mental understanding guides us to an inner vista point; but beyond that words and thoughts cannot substitute for our unique discovery.

We don’t need to study 1,500 pages in the Bible and remember names, places and “thou shalt nots”.

Yes, it is the word of God, it has an enormous depth to it, if we make the gentle effort to be honest and sincere; experience is more important than believes, fantasies or wishful thinking.

What do we really want?
What are we really looking for?
It should be practical and relevant.

Where do we start?

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Matthew 6:33

We have the opportunity to check-in if we really know the words we are reading swiftly since decades.

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
2 Corinthians 3:17

Scripture points to the ever-present reality of our own Being, beyond the person we assume in “this world”.

It is so simple and natural that we overlook it, sometimes for lifetimes.

  1. mystery ~ “something that is difficult or impossible to understand or explain”. It simply points to a deeper seeing beyond our familiar surface mind.

  2. Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
    Luke 17:21
