The G-Word

… just pretend some openness.

In “this world” people reject and fight based on their beliefs, based on what they assume and entertain in their minds.

Ignorance has the tendency to defend itself, to hide in the dark.
Yet, it is possible to be open, sensitive and vulnerable and to pierce the veil — the bubble — of our own person.

Rush or hush?
Where to start…

“Truth is simple, but the seeker is complex”…
We don’t need to study 1,500 pages in the Bible; just one passage, taken to heart, can open scripture to us:

This is what the Sovereign LORD,
the Holy One of Israel, says:
In repentance and rest is your salvation,
in quietness and trust is your strength,
but you would have none of it.

Isaiah 30:15

Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening.
1 Samuel 3:9

Just pretend some openness:
Intimate with the Lord, here and now?
Thinking cannot help you here, but thinking can assist in creating the right circumstances.

“The idea of God came up because people have no explanation for such a magnificent creation.”

I am the Lord your God

“God is the cause of the phenomena of life”…

Read it again, but very slowly:
“God is the phenomena of Life.”

How do you ponder things?
How do you discover something new, outside the grooves of your thinking?

This is what the LORD says– your Redeemer,
the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the LORD your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go…”

Isaiah 48:17

Experience is higher than beliefs and assumptions.

Any idea, believe or hope we entertain is an image, an idol in our mind.
Words are pointers for our attention; the word God is not God.

Experience might show us that God — or whatever word you use to conceptualize it — is a real Presence, a feelingless feeling that dissolves our human problems.

As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55:9
