Yes, a mystery, 1 but not rocket-science.
Spiritual ego — or maybe call it our own blind-spot — is hard to detect… it is too easy to be intimidated even by our own thoughts and feelings.
It requires some dedication and interest to explore and discover that life is more than what we believe or assume.
How to pierce the veil — the bubble of our own personal understanding?

The Bible is amazing, but it is easy to get lost in language, fantasy and wishful thinking if we are not very careful and gentle within our own mind.

“Spirituality” might easily become an addiction, an escape, a pain-killer.
The Good News is that we are not an isolated separate-self.
God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.
